So, if you didn’t already know, I have the most amazingly talented younger sister. She has already recorded an album in Nashville and is working on some new stuff to record another. If that weren’t cool enough, she is only 17 years old! I can’t express how proud of her I am. I just know she is going somewhere. If you would like to check out her stuff, here’s a link to her myspace site… Emily Fehler
So, on to my point… On top of all this singing, she has been a model for me since she was just hatched. I have always felt like she was so great in front of the camera, and time has not changed that one bit. We had a session this last week to get some new shots for promotional stuff and her album, and I was still amazed with her camera presence. She was being completely eaten alive by bugs and still managed to look absolutely natural and happy in her photos. Here are some of my favorites…

She just performed at the Aggie Theater in Fort Collins last Sunday and I took some shots there too. This was my favorite one…

Last week I got to photograph sweet little 5 week old Derek. He was mesmerized by the camera so much and he seemed to keep posing, so his mom Sara and I called him Zoolander! Here are some of my favorite shots…

I love this one because I got Derek sneezing…

Last Wednesday, I met up with my close photography friend Paige Elizabeth to do something different. We thought it would be fun to re-live our wedding days and go around Downtown Denver and a local park shooting each other in our wedding dresses. It was an absolute blast! The only problem was that we ran out of sun! Here are some of my favorites that I got of Paige…

Here are some of my favorite shots that Paige got of me (I can’t believe I’m showing these, but Paige did an awesome job!)…

We are planning another outing soon, hopefully involving more of a “trash the dress” series. I can’t wait!
I was so happy to meet up with Jennifer and Bryan this Saturday. It feels like so long ago Jennifer and I talked for hours just getting to know each other and talking about their wedding day. I live for moments like this. It’s hard to believe this Saturday was our first face to face meeting! We had so much fun wandering around downtown Denver and the art museum. Here are some of my favorite shots…

We were even lucky enough to have access to a friend of their’s two story loft (with a roof top patio) right down the street from Coors Field. It made it so we could get this awesome silouette and a great view…

I LOVE this moment. Bryan is the sweetest (and funniest) guy!

I tried a little experiment with a spot light at the art museum that turned out really cool!

Thanks guys! I can’t wait for your big day!
Remember the maternity session I did a few weeks ago where mommy was already having contactions? Well, their sweet little one came 2 days later!
Meet Ella Rose…

Melissa and Bo have been so lucky to have Melissa’s sister Katie around to help take care of Ella…

I had the coolest job this Sunday! I got to shoot the Taste of Fort Collins for Team Player Productions. I even got VIP and band passes (to be up on stage with The Freddy Jones Band). Here’s a link to the slideshow if you want to see it… Taste of Fort Collins

There was a hilarious hot wing eating contest…

I was SO impressed with The Freddy Jones Band. The were awesome performers and they really seem to love every minute of it!

I met up with Shauna and Jared at the Historic Centennial Village in Greeley (where they will be having their reception next June) this Saturday. What an awesome place! It’s like a tiny town filled with historic buildings and machinery. We had a blast walking through the sites! Shauna and Jared are such a sweet couple. They have great chemistry! I can’t wait for their wedding. Here are some of my favorite shots from the day…

I met up with Marna in Old Town last Thursday to take some “professional” photos for her business Thin from Within. She has such a great concept going, which I think is why she is so successful! Check out her website if you are interested in getting healthy and happy at the same time! Anyway, on to her photos…

This one was fun because she wants some images of herself pointing at various things on her website…

These were a little more “creative,” but I thought they were fun…

In case you haven’t noticed, I’m catching up on some blogging today. I’ve been really busy, but I want to be sure to post everything I’ve been doing. Anyway, onto the posts…
A few posts ago I mentioned I was out of town for a friend’s wedding in LA. Jen was my freshman year roommate in college (CU Boulder). I still remember the day we moved in together (also the first time we met face to face). We stayed up until 3am just getting to know each other and having a great time. I will never forget that night and mostly that year. It was one of the best experiences in my life and I owe that mostly to her. We have stayed in touch ever since, even though she moved back to her home town in LA after school.
I got the call last fall that she was getting married to an awesome guy that completely fit the description of who she wanted to end up with in college. I could not have been happier for her! I was invited to the wedding as a guest (a nice change) but of course I had to take some shots of my own. Here are some of my favorites…

I love the dimensions in this shot. I even made an appearance!

I love how happy she and her parents are in this shot…

She and Mike were just glowing the whole day…

They had spotlights on all of the centerpieces. It was a really cool effect…

I love this shot of Jen’s dad and grandpa…

I thought it would be fun to post my most recent photos of Anne and her daughter Samantha (and Scout, their doggy), since I mentioned them earlier…
