On August 18th, I got to photograph an amazing wedding at the Botanic Gardens and The Grant Humphrey’s Mansion in Denver. The day started for Kirk (my husband and second shooter) and I when we saw Jen on her way to the hotel room to get dressed. I introduced her to Kirk and the first thing she said to him was “I love your wife!” I probably didn’t handle it all that well because I’m terrible with compliments, but I hope you know how special that was for me to hear Jen! The truth is that I feel the same way! I often confess to people that I do what I do because I love my art, but most importantly because I LOVE everyone I photograph. It is such a thrilling experience to watch the most important day of my couples’ lives unfold before me. I feel like I know you all so well by the time the day is through and I genuinely feel like we are friends. Anyway, on to Jen and Bryan’s wonderful day…

I thought this was such a funny moment…

This cracked me up too…

There was a beautiful photograph of Jen’s parents in front of the unity candles that struck a cord when they were lit. Though her parent’s weren’t there physically, we all felt their presence in spirit.

We had a little rain after the ceremony, but once it cleared up, the sky was amazing!

In case you didn’t notice, they had a great vintage Great Gatsby theme, which went perfectly with the classic Rolls Royce limo they pulled off in…

The party was awesome! Jen, Bryan, and their guests were an absolute riot!

Everyone always seems to love when I lay in the middle of the dance floor. These guys tried something a little different (by the way, the guy in the middle was their officiant)!

When the DJ played “Time Warp” Jen lip synched every line in full character! It was absolutely hilarious (and really good-I was impressed)!

Recently, I had an AMAZING opportunity to photograph Joel Comm of “The Next Internet Millionaire” for Revenue magazine. If you haven’t already heard about all the buzz, Joel is the host of the newest reality show concept (and the author of a New York Times best seller, among many other acomplishments). If you want to see the show, it officially aired August 15th on the internet only(which means you can view the shows at your leisure). I just watched the first episode and I can’t wait until the next is posted! It’s a great show! Here’s the link if you want to learn more… Internet Millionaire. Anyway, on to the photos…

Joel with his best-selling book…

Fun with apples…

Joel gave me his best blue steel (from Zoolander). It was so funny!

We also played with a white canvas so he can use the photos on his website…

He has so many great expressions. It was hard to pick my favorites!

Thanks so much for the great experience and being a blast to work with Joel! And thanks to Revenue Magazine for the great opportunity!
What a great wedding and a great couple! I feel so lucky that I got to photograph these two! I could not have asked for a sweeter couple to be around. Everyone there made me feel so welcome and special (even though it wasn’t my day). Thanks to Jen and Matt and all of your amazing guests and for all your nice compliments! On to the photos…

The ceremony site was AMAZING!

They had an awesome bagpiper!

They have the most contagious smiles!

I love this moment when Jen’s mom was watching her dance…

Two weeks ago I got to photograph Hallie and Kerry’s wedding up here in Fort Collins. I have been so excited to shoot their wedding because Hallie is an EXTREMELY talented interior designer. It doesn’t hurt that she and Kerry are gorgeous and have an incredible chemistry. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful historic church setting either (Grace Church), which had a circular balcony surrounding the sanctuary and amazing spiral staircases that we got to play a lot in. Anyway, on to the photos…
I love this shot of Hallie right after she put on her veil…

I know, I know. Saying she’s gorgeous is an understatement…

They both lost it when she came walking down the aisle…

I love this moment after the ceremony…

These guys were full of energy. The dance floor was never empty. It was such a blast to photograph!

I feel so special to have been a part of your big day you two. Thanks for picking me!
A few weeks ago, I headed down to Elizabeth, CO to photograph Amanda and David’s wedding. It was so obvious that they have been ready for this day for a long time. I was so honored to be a part of it. Here are some of my favorite shots from the day…
Every time someone told Amanda not to cry, this inevitably happened… She’s so sweet!

I love getting creative with portraits…

I’ve been experimenting with a new technique I learned from Katie Thurmes where a I give the camera a 1/4 turn as I push the shutter. Here’s how it turns out…

I love this moment…

Congrats you two. I know you will have a wonderful life together!
Few! I have been busy! Not that I’m complaining. It has been an exciting couple of weeks that I can”t wait to share with you! Let’s start with Chandra and Brian’s portrait session…
I was so excited to meet these two because they live such a cool life! They live in Germany because Brian is stationed in the Army there. They wanted to get some photos taken before Brian heads off to Iraq for the next 15 months (wow). It was so nice to be around a couple that has been married for 7 years, but still act like newlyweds.

Good luck Brian! We’ll be rooting for you!
