I met the greatest couple last week! Laura and Alessandro met when Laura spent 3 months in Italy and Alessandro was her landlord. They went out to dinner and the rest is history… They will be getting married 8/8/08 in Perugia, Italy and they’re taking me with them! I can’t wait! We had a short moment to take some engagement photos before Alessandro headed back to Italy. Here are some of my favorites…

I just got an email from Jenna Walker congratulating me on winning 6th place in the action category for the current WPJA contest! I couldn’t be more thrilled! I have been hoping for a long time to finally place one of my photos through them. The competition is fierce, so I feel very honored to have been chosen. Here’s the photo that won…

You may recognize it from my recent post from Hallie and Kerry’s wedding. It was a great group with lots of fun photos to choose from! Thanks again guys…
I recently met Erin and Tyler for their engagement session in Littleton. The great thing about this session is that we got to make it their own and shoot at fire station 16 (they’re both fire fighters). It was so fun to do something so unique not to mention I got to climb on a fire truck (too cool)! Click here to see the cool slideshow. Here’s are some of my favorite shots from the engagement session…

Some funnies…

The big day is only a month away!

My old boss Matt and his amazing fiance Shauna finally tied the knot a couple weeks ago up at Rist Canyon in the most gorgeous mountain setting. They finished the night up at Seton Hall in Fort Collins. One of my amazing brides from last October Stacy Pisani of Alexan Events was their coordinator and she did an incredible job! I was so honored to photograph Matt and Shauna’s wedding. Matt was such a great boss to me and I always had such a great feeling every time I saw Shauna. Thanks for picking me! Anyway, on to their day…

Shauna and Matt wanted to see each other before the ceremony, and whenever that’s the plan, I like to capture the moment when they first do. Matt and I met up with Shauna in the Aspen trees and this is how we first saw her…

Everyone rode horse-drawn carriages to the ceremony..

I loved this moment right as the flower girl walked past the horses…

Shauna’s dad was such a sweet man. I love this shot of him. It makes me cry…

Shauna was so happy all day. She smiled like this a lot!

She had the longest veil and the wind was great for getting some cool shots!

We stopped at an unbelieveable lookout point on the way to the reception…

I got to take another trip down to the Grant-Humphreys mansion in Denver for Mallorie and Derek’s wedding a few weeks ago. It is a great setting for weddings and receptions. I highly recommend it! Mallorie and Derek are such a sweet and unique couple. I’ve loved them ever since I met them! Both of them have a great contagious energy! Here are some of my favorite moments…

They made so many funny expressions all night!

Derek’s gun rack pose…

I love grandparents at weddings…

This moment just cracked me up…

Few! I have been sooo busy! I am completely behind on my blogging! I am planning on posting lots in the next couple of days, so keep visiting!
Let’s start with Kelly and Nate’s wedding from a few weeks ago. I took a great trip to Snowy Range in Centennial , WY and it was absolutely gorgeous! The ceremony site was a historic outdoor chapel in the middle of an amazing mountainscape. The reception was held at The Snowy Range Lodge where Nate’s cousin has restored the nearly demolitioned building. He has done a wonderful job of turning the place into a beautiful reception site! Kelly and Nate are a great couple and I’m so happy to have been a part of their awesome wedding! If you would like to see their slideshow, click here. Here are some of my favorite shots…
I went to Nate’s cabin to get some shots of him getting ready and this was the first thing I saw… It really set the tone of the day because Nate’s a big fisherman. He and the guys even hit the river the day of the wedding!

Grandma had some sweet words during the ceremony and I just loved her expressions all day!

Kelly and Nate were so hapy to be married!

The settings were so gorgeous!

There were tons of kids playing out back. This was my favorite…

Getting ready for the toasts…

There were lots of tears during the dances…

I thought these were cool dance shots…

Congratulations guys!
So, I have a great theory… If I get a group of seniors that are all friends, to have their photos done together, the idea is that we will have tons of natural beautiful portraits of every one of them! Grace and Katharine were my first seniors to try out my theory and it went exactly as I had hoped (even better)! We played at Tavelli Elementary School, an awesome sunflower field, and Old Town Fort Collins. These two were so entertaining and cute! I am so excited about how well it went. Hopefully I will get to do it again some day! Anyway, on to the photos…
