I’m sitting here on my couch with my beautiful 2 1/2 year old this morning with a heavy heart. I just had my first Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep photo session at the new Loveland hospital. NILMDTS is an organization that does something amazing. Volunteer photographers go in to hospitals were a newborn child has passed and document the last moments the parents have with their little one. I have so many mixed emotions about what happened this morning, but I feel good knowing that I did something for someone that I would want for myself.
It was so touching to hear the heart-broken mom saying “I love you” as a single tear ran down her cheek. Truthfully, it was all it took to break me down. As I walked down the hallway back to the nursery I just lost it. Even now I am teetering on the edge of another tear-fest.
I am so grateful for my perfect little daughter and my amazing husband. I feel so blessed to have the things I have in this life and to have the oportunity to use my skills in such a giving way. If you’re a photographer interested in giving in the same way, check out NILMDTS.
I have been SO excited for Angie and Brian to get married. Maybe even more than they have! I just love their amazing chemistry and their wonderful personalities. They both have something magical about them. I’m absolutely terrible with words, so it’s hard for me to express this feeling I get. I basically feel like they are angels here on Earth. That may seem cheesy to say, but if you met them, you would feel the same. There were moments during the day that felt so incredibly special. I feel truly honored to have been a part of their big day. Here are some of my favorite shots…

Brian’s grandfather was one of the groomsmen. I thought that was so sweet!

The kids were a riot too.

Kirk got this shot. See what I mean by angelic?

I love this windy shot.

My awesome sister performed two of her original songs on 9 news last Saturday! I am so proud of that girl! If you want to see it, here’s the link… Emily Fehler

I met up with Paula and Dave at Picnic Rock a couple of weeks ago too and we had a blast. They have such sweet personalities and great smiles! I can’t wait for their wedding next summer! Here are couple of my favorite shots…

One of my favorite couples from last summer’s wedding season, Bekah and Josh, met up with me at Picnic Rock in Fort Collins for their holiday photo session. I gave them there disk a couple of days ago and Bekah said, “I bet you didn’t know you took our maternity photos!” What great news! They had said at their session that they “weren’t not trying” and it turns out that she was 3 weeks along! Congratulations guys! Here’s some of my favorites from the day…
