Our new pup!

Filed under: Animal photography, Dog photography, Portrait photography — Alison Willliams @ 8:22 pm

We adopted another doggy from the Denver Dumb Friends League!  We were told he is 2, but we’re pretty sure he’s closer to 9 months old.  He’s a husky and german shepherd mix and my little lover!  Here are some fun shots of him…  Sonny

Justin and Emily’s Destination Wedding at The Present Moment Retreat in Troncones, Mexico

I am SO EXCITED to finally share the photos from Justin and Emily’s wedding in Troncones.  I wish I had the words to describe my experience over the 6 days I was there with their wonderful group of family and friends as well as the locals, the food, and the unbelievable scenery.  I guess I would say that Troncones, Mexico is one of my favorite places in the world.  I am itching to get back there.  The wedding and reception both took place right near the ocean waves at The Present Moment Retreat.  It was SO MAGICAL!  Thank you, thank you, thank you Emily, Justin, and the rest for including me as not only your photographer, but your friend!  Here are some of my favorite shots from the wedding and trash the dress session Emily and Justin, but if you’d like to see the full slideshow, click here

Sweet Jude’s newborn photos

Well, I told you I’m behind on my blogging, and here’s the proof!  Remember Laura’s maternity session?  Well, little Jude is already here!

He is such a deep little thinker.  We had many magical moments during the shoot where he would be upset, then completely calm listening to the clicks of my camera.  He is definitely going to be like his mommy because he loves the camera!!!!  I had a blast photographing this little treasure.  I hope I get to do it again soon!!!!  Here are some shots from the shoot… Jude

The Amedee Family

Filed under: Family photography, Portrait photography — Alison Willliams @ 3:04 pm

Last Christmas, a close friend of the Amedee family bought a gift certificate from me for a family session.  Their oldest daughter Emily has been spending lots of time in the Cheque Republic, so it’s been really hard to figure out when they would all be together for the shoot.  I recently got news that Emily was going to be in town for a few days, so we booked their session asap and met up in Old Town Fort Collins.  I’m so glad that it worked out that Emily got to join us.  It was totally worth the wait!!!!  The Amedee family is SO full of life and you can tell that they are really close.  I can only hope that my family will be as happy in the future.  Here are some shots from the day… Amedee Family

Jill and Jay’s 1920’s Cancer League Event

Filed under: Event photography, Volunteer photography — Alison Willliams @ 3:03 pm

A few months ago, Jill and Jay hosted a wonderful event for the Cancer League of Colorado.  The theme was 1920’s so we all got to get dolled up in costumes and jumped into the past as we walked through the doors of Mile High Station in Denver.  There were SO MANY generous people that made the event possible.  If you’d like to see the vendors involved, here are the details from Jill and Jay… Thank you letter.  Here are some fun shots from the night… 1920’s night

I met up with Logan and his family in Fort Collins at Rolland Moore Park a couple of months back and had a blast playing!  Logan is so gutsy.  He was even climbing trees!  We just had so much fun, it was hard to call it a portrait session.  Here are some of my favorites… Logan

Laura’s Maternity Session

A couple of months ago I got to meet Laura and Brian at their house to take maternity photos.  They were so excited to be parents!  Of course, I’m so delayed on my blog posts, that I’ve now taken their newborn photos!  I can’t wait to share those too!

Here are some of my faves from their maternity session… Laura’s maternity session

Homes for our Troops

Filed under: Event photography, Volunteer photography — Alison Willliams @ 5:10 pm

A few months ago, I was asked to photograph a project for an awesome organization called Homes For Our Troops.  They are a lot like Habitat for Humanity in that they build homes, but the needy they focus on are disabled veterans.  I am so thrilled to be a part of Sgt. John Jones’ project!  He was blown 20 feet from his Hummer in Iraq and both of his legs were lost (he now has 2 artificial limbs).  HFOT is building a home for him where it will be easier for him to walk from one room to the next without having to worry about falling down stairs, etc.

The welcome dinner was full of emotion.  Sgt. Jones and his wife and new son couldn’t be more grateful.  Betsy Markley even made an appearance.  Here are some shots from the night… HFOT

Steph and Seth’s Engagement (I know, I know… It’s about time!!!!)

Filed under: Engagement photography — Alison Willliams @ 4:04 pm

It’s amazing how time consuming moving can be!!!!!  But after many months, we are finally settled in our new house in Edgewater!!!  Of course, the first thing we did the moment we relaxed is adopted another dog from the Denver Dumb Friends League (pics of our 2 year old Sunny to come!)!  Those of you who know us, know that I would have 12 of every animal if I could, and now that we have a nice big fenced in yard, it just felt right to add to the family…

Anyway, I have lots of new photos to share with you!!!!

I met with Steph and Seth ages ago for their engagement session in Denver.  They are from New York, but will be getting married in Golden this July.  I loved them from the moment I met them.  They are two of the sweetest people!  I feel so honored that they chose me for their big day.  I can’t wait!!!

Here are some of my favorite shots from their engagement session… Steph and Seth’s Engagement
