I am SO EXCITED to finally share the photos from Justin and Emily’s wedding in Troncones. I wish I had the words to describe my experience over the 6 days I was there with their wonderful group of family and friends as well as the locals, the food, and the unbelievable scenery. I guess I would say that Troncones, Mexico is one of my favorite places in the world. I am itching to get back there. The wedding and reception both took place right near the ocean waves at The Present Moment Retreat. It was SO MAGICAL! Thank you, thank you, thank you Emily, Justin, and the rest for including me as not only your photographer, but your friend! This Friday I will be a part of a very special event to raise money for cancer research and Jill and Jay Livingston (one of my wonderful couples from last winter). Jay was diagnosed a few months ago with testicular cancer and has been through many treatments as well as surgeries ever since. I am happy to say that I saw him a couple of days ago and he looks fantastic and he says he is feeling great! The downfall to all of this is, of course, the $$$ it has cost them. I am honored to be able to donate some of my nature photography and photograph the event to help them out. If you would like to come, here is the invitation… 1920′s Cotton Club (the VIP ticket deadline has been extended until February 25th, but general admission tickets can be purchased at the door). “The more, the merrier” as Jay says!
I have been meaning to post this session forever! Rachel Olsen and I have made a pact to take each others family portraits every year. This is year one! I feel so honored to shoot such a wonderful photographers family photos. It’s scary at the same time too! I can’t wait to do it again next year!!!!
I have some great news! I recently found out that Jen and Gregg’s wedding will be featured in a Just Married story in the 2009 Fall/Winter issue of The Knot Colorado magazine and website!
I also received a FIRST PLACE in the most recent WPJA competition! Here’s the winning image…
JUDGES COMMENTS: Great faces for all the girls in the photo, including those reflected in the mirror. Clearly the stand-out in this category. Might have cropped a bit from the top to avoid the slight reflection of the photographer (though it’s not apparent at first).
October 20th was such an Awesome wedding! Kelli and Evan got married at the Temple Emanuel in Denver and their wedding coordinator Jennah Lagomarsino of Events Extraordinaire did an awesome job! It was also fun to see Epicurean Catering because my December 1st bride, Jill worked closely with Kelli planning their meals! It’s great to see familiar faces of the great people I’ve worked with in the past…
Anyway, Kelli and Evan set a new record of having my largest wedding to date! It was amazing how many people were there. Everyone was SO nice!
These two are so great together. I’m so happy I got to be a part of their big day. I just know they will live happily ever after!

Kelli wore the same dress that both her mother and grandmother wore on their wedding days (just altered to her style). It was absolutely gorgeous! This was the reaction all the girls made when Kelli put it on…
Evan was so nervous waiting to see Kelli for the first time. It felt so raw and emotional being with him during those last moments of anticipation.
It’s amazing how that feeling changed to excitement the moment his bride walked through the door…

My old boss Matt and his amazing fiance Shauna finally tied the knot a couple weeks ago up at Rist Canyon in the most gorgeous mountain setting. They finished the night up at Seton Hall in Fort Collins. One of my amazing brides from last October Stacy Pisani of Alexan Events was their coordinator and she did an incredible job! I was so honored to photograph Matt and Shauna’s wedding. Matt was such a great boss to me and I always had such a great feeling every time I saw Shauna. Thanks for picking me! Anyway, on to their day…
Shauna and Matt wanted to see each other before the ceremony, and whenever that’s the plan, I like to capture the moment when they first do. Matt and I met up with Shauna in the Aspen trees and this is how we first saw her…

I had SO MUCH FUN in Pueblo with Katie Thurmes of Jenna Walker Photography and Kevin Von Qualen of Kevin Von Qualen Photography on 7-7-07! It was an absolute pleasure to be a third shooter for Charli and Mike’s wedding. The day was filled with love and happiness and these two are beautiful people inside and out! A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to second shoot for Katie and Jenna of Jenna Walker Photography at the Red Lion in Boulder and in Pueblo. I love having the opportunity to second shoot with other photographers because it gives me a chance to learn from those that I admire. Katie and Jenna are definitely on that list!
The wedding in Boulder was so beautiful. It was completely filled with emotion (laughter and tears). Here are some of my favorite moments…
