What have I been up to (other than expanding my beautiful family)?

Hello from the depths of motherhood!!!!!  I am finally beginning to resurface and join the ranks of the living/working!!!!  Though I have been technically on maternity leave, I have been busy!!!  I am forever grateful to have a job I actually look forward to even after a sleepless night (still happening, by the way).  That being said, I would love to share a few of the images I have taken over the last year that I have procrastinated on posting…

Erin’s mom Kim called me up last week feeling a little panicked because she just found out that her daughter Erin has enough credits to be a senior in high school this year!  Up until a week ago, she though she was still a junior.  Smarty pants.  So we scheduled Erin’s session lickety split, so she could get her yearbook photo in on time.  I was mesmerized by her gorgeous eyes!  Here are some of my faves…  Erin

Grace and Katharine’s Senior Shoot in Fort Collins, CO

So, I have a great theory… If I get a group of seniors that are all friends, to have their photos done together, the idea is that we will have tons of natural beautiful portraits of every one of them!  Grace and Katharine were my first seniors to try out my theory and it went exactly as I had hoped (even better)!  We played at Tavelli Elementary School, an awesome sunflower field, and Old Town Fort Collins.  These two were so entertaining and cute!  I am so excited about how well it went.  Hopefully I will get to do it again some day!  Anyway, on to the photos…

My awesome sister!

So, if you didn’t already know, I have the most amazingly talented younger sister.  She has already recorded an album in Nashville and is working on some new stuff to record another.  If that weren’t cool enough, she is only 17 years old!  I can’t express how proud of her I am.  I just know she is going somewhere.  If you would like to check out her stuff, here’s a link to her myspace site… Emily Fehler

So, on to my point…  On top of all this singing, she has been a model for me since she was just hatched.  I have always felt like she was so great in front of the camera, and time has not changed that one bit.  We had a session this last week to get some new shots for promotional stuff and her album, and I was still amazed with her camera presence.  She was being completely eaten alive by bugs and still managed to look absolutely natural and happy in her photos.  Here are some of my favorites…
