I had a great trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico last month for my sister-in-law, Jen’s, wedding! We had a close call, with a possible category 5 huricane, but all we got was a little rain.
It was so fun to see the other side of weddings for a change. I had fun shooting for pleasure too! Not that my job isn’t the BEST!!!!! Here are some fun shots I took of my family, etc. while we were gone… Cabo
I’m finally ready to blog again!!! Whew! I am so honored to have been invited to the Present Moment Retreat in Troncones, Mexico again to shoot one of the owners (Tom) wedding! It was truly magical yet again! I may have to buy another home out there. Troncones is unreal! Here are some shots from Tom and Angelica’s wedding…
I’m off to shoot another gorgeous wedding in Troncones, Mexico! One of the owners of The Present Moment Retreat where I shot Justin and Emily’s wedding has asked me to photograph his wedding on the 18th. I am SO honored to be invited back! I look forward to showing you the photos from Tom and Angelica’s wedding soon!!!!
I will be returning late on the 21st, so if you have troubles reaching me it’s because I have minimal access to my computer and phone (Troncones is tiny). I will get back to you asap on the 22nd!!!!

What an awesome day I had at Steph and Seth’s wedding!!!!!! They are SO fun and a couple of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. On top of an all around great wedding, I also had an awesome opportunity to have myself taped while at work! Craig Evans of Memories in Motion followed Steve (one of my amazing second shooters) and I around the whole day, so that I can add a little video to my website. I feel that one of my strongest attributes is how well I work on a wedding day and I want to share that with you!
I felt so honored that Steph and Seth had so many nice things to say about me in the exit interview. I think you guys rock too!!!! I am hoping to get the video up soon, but in the mean time here are some shots from the wedding…
I have been looking so forward to Becca and Jared’s wedding! I knew their wedding in Katy, Texas would be awesome and unique. They even toasted with real cane sugar Dr. Pepper! It was delicious!!!!! I hope that I get to keep in touch with these two even though we are in different states. They are truly wonderful people! Anyway, on to my favorite photos… Becca_Jared
I am SO EXCITED to finally share the photos from Justin and Emily’s wedding in Troncones. I wish I had the words to describe my experience over the 6 days I was there with their wonderful group of family and friends as well as the locals, the food, and the unbelievable scenery. I guess I would say that Troncones, Mexico is one of my favorite places in the world. I am itching to get back there. The wedding and reception both took place right near the ocean waves at The Present Moment Retreat. It was SO MAGICAL! Thank you, thank you, thank you Emily, Justin, and the rest for including me as not only your photographer, but your friend! Wow! What an awesome trip!!!!! I just got back from shooting Emily and Justin’s incredible wedding in Troncones, Mexico (near Acapulco and Zihuatanejo). I have to say that I think Troncones is one of my favorite places I’ve ever been!!!! It is friendly, secluded, tiny, gorgeous, and the food… oh the food! If you think you have had authentic Mexican food, you are in for a treat in Troncones. We bought an entire roasted chicken next to the small grocery store that was marinated and cooked over a fire pit in front of us that was unreal. I moaned through most of my meals…
I feel so fortunate to have been invited to join this wonderful group of people!!!! Emily and Justin treated me like family and I feel like all of their guests and I will be friends forever! Thank you SOOOOO much for having me.
I’ll leave you with one of the last shots from the whole trip. I took it after Emily and Justin’s trash the dress session. She was just strolling along the beach to soak it in one last time before their trip home and the pelicans decided to put on a show for her…

I was so happy to take Becca and Jared’s engagement photos while they were in town from Texas! They were open to absolutely anything and we got to take some fun shots with their two sweet doggies. We started just before sunset at Lee Martinez park in Fort Collins and took it into Old Town as the sun went down. I had been completely addicted to experimenting with what I learned at the One Light workshop this summer, so I decided to play with my off camera flash. I’m REALLY excited about how the photos turned out! I can’t wait to play more at their wedding in Katy, TX this May! Here are some of my favorite shots… Becca and Jared

JUDGES COMMENTS: Great faces for all the girls in the photo, including those reflected in the mirror. Clearly the stand-out in this category. Might have cropped a bit from the top to avoid the slight reflection of the photographer (though it’s not apparent at first).
I am so excited to share Laura and Alessandro’s wedding photos! I feel like there is so much to tell about their incredible day! From the salon where the girls got their hair done, to the church of San Filippo Neri (the only authentic Baroque building in Perugia), to the private home in Solomeo where we rode Alessandro’s 1970′s Fiat (Italy’s version of the VW Beetle) and broke down next to a sunflower field, the whole day felt very “Italian” to me. It was so awesome!!!! I hope I get to go back soon! I’m even brushing up on my Italian as we speak!
I feel so lucky to have been asked to be a part of Laura and Alessandro’s wedding. Every member of their family and all of their friends were truly wonderful people! I couldn’t have asked to be more welcomed than they made me feel. I even made an appearance in their slideshow because I was asked to dance with so many of their guests!
